Abstract

This scientific paper deals with the analysis of the phenomenon of stigmatization of juvenile offenders by the family of juveniles. The family is a group in which the basic needs of children are met and which has a reproductive, educational and protective function. Disorganization of the family is negatively negativly held on the members, and the influence of such a family on the children is of special interest. This paper is based on the premise that the disorganized family has an impact on the emergence and development of stigmatization with juvenile offenders. The overall goal of this paper is to analyze the causal-consequential relationship between disorganization of the family and the phenomenon of stigmatization of children who have manifested criminal behavior, which in final point,, negatively reflected on the process of re-socialization. After the description of the terms, the paper presents the results of conducted research and analysis of the literature. Special reference was made to examine the effect of the appearance of the stigmatization attached to the results in the process of social reintegration of juvenile offenders, and according to the opinions of expert workers of social protection. The analysis showed a significant connection between the stigmatizing attitudes of the family as an actor in the process of resocialization and the phenomenon of stigmatization of juvenile offenders. Concluding observations point to the importance of healthy, integrated family of resocialization process, and the importance of cooperation between the center for social work, family, school and the local community as a strategy in the prevention of delinquent behavior and stigmatization of minors.
